Postponement of Public Holidays for Khmer New Year 2020
As a measure to prevent and control the spread of Covid-19, the Royal Government of Cambodia has decided to postpone the public holidays for Khmer New Year from 13th to 16th April 2020 for all public and private sectors. Under the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training (“MLVT”)’s notification No.012/20 dated 07 April 2020, the government will compensate workers in private sector with a five (5) days holidays at an appropriate time. The MLVT will issue a new notification of the compensatory holidays once the exact date has been set by the Royal Government.
